Dick Lowenthal

 

Professor Emeritus Richard Lowenthal, received a Bachelor of Music from the University of Michigan and a Masters in Trumpet from The Juilliard School of Music, and recently retired after teaching Jazz for over fifty years.

He founded and Chaired the Jazz Program at the Manhattan School of Music and conducted the award winning Jazz Orchestra. In addition he started the Jazz Program at New Jersey City University. Dick serves on the Board of Directors of the Arts Garage, where he also teaches several successful courses in the Adult Education Program.
